    How to create a new folder and rename an existing folder. Explain editing operations such as Cut, copy and paste, and how to move,undo,redo delete and restore files?

  • Copy the below material files to do the below exercise
  • Create a New folder in desktop.
  • Rename the folder as “Asha”.
  • Copy the folder.
  • Paste in Documents folder.
  • Open any picture folder.
  • Cut any image from picture foler.
  • Paste in the ‘Asha’ folder.
  • Name the image file name as ‘Asha’.
  • Move the ‘Asha’ file to the Desktop.
  • Delete the Asha file
  • Finally restore the file

  • Teacher Instruction
    1. The teacher should teach the students to select something before it can be cut.
    2. Teacher should explain the methods of restoring files and folders, use ctrl+Z and recycle bin
    3. Teacher should explain the cut, copy, paste options can be used for all images, files, folders and also with in the document.
    4. The teacher should explain to the students about the clipboard. A copy action results in copying the contents to the clipboard and a ‘Paste’ action pastes the clipboard contents into other documents and programs.
    5. Use the words “Cut”, “Copy”, “Paste”, “Folder”,"Undo","Redo" shortcut keys, etc,.. when teaching. They need to become familiar with these words.
